Nikon partnered with two-division BAMMA world champion mixed martial artist Tom ‘Fire Kid’ Duquesnoy and sports photographer Tom Miles to capture split-second moments of impact and reveal scenes that what would otherwise be impossible to see with the naked eye.
See how the rapid processing speed and high ISO capabilities of the Nikon D500 manage to capture the incredibly fast MMA superstar as he strikes various household food items such as watermelons, cakes and pumpkins.

Tom Miles Biography
Tom Miles is a professional editorial/commercial sports and portrait photographer based in London, UK. He photographs for various national magazines and commercial clients, such as The Telegraph, Men’s Health and Men’s Fitness. He is especially attracted to the sports and fitness field as it offers a huge variety of work, and the chance to collaborate with some truly inspiring people, including Paula Radcliffe, Rory Mcllroy and Mo Farah, whilst at the same time creating memorable imagery.
Tom has also taught at over 30 universities across the UK, teaching courses at the Nikon School in the UK and for the Association of Photographers.

Tom Duquesnoy Biography
Tom Duquesnoy, nicknamed Fire Kid, is a French Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) artist, born on June 21st, 1993 in Lens, France. Duquesnoy is the number one featherweight fighter in Europe since 2013.
He has obtained the European belts of Belgium Beatdown, Killacam, and currently holds the BAMMA Featherweight and Bantamweight World titles. He won his two first fights at Killacam in only 35 seconds, which led him to join the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA), the biggest European MMA organisation.
