The NX MobileAir app lets you use your mobile device to transfer images to an FTP server, without the need for a computer or mobile router. Whether you’re working in a stadium with a congested local network, or at a location where laptops or hardwired networks are not permitted, you’ll benefit from simple, fast, and reliable workflow. From breaking news to tight deadlines, always be first.
Securely and quickly upload images via USB from your Nikon camera¹ to your smartphone or tablet², and transfer to an FTP server over a 4G or 5G network. No network configuration is required. You can automate key tasks such as metadata attachment and FTP upload, and perform simple editing tasks before you send.
You can automatically upload images to the FTP server as you shoot, ensuring your images get to the editorial desk as the event unfolds. Or reduce the burden on the processing team by uploading selected images after you shoot.
Save time by importing FTP settings from your server application. When sending files, you can batch-add preset IPTC information to automatically exported images. Or you can manually add IPTC information to individual images or albums.
NX MobileAir lets you perform simple editing tasks on-site, speeding up publication in time-pressured situations. Manually crop, straighten, and rotate—or set the app to automatically straighten images as you send them.
Easily find the telling moment. The NX MobileAir app makes it easy to select or delete shots with thumbnails and large images that show shooting information. You can manually edit IPTC info and attach voice memos to your shots.
